Ever had one of those moments where you sit back, look at your life, and think, "Wow, I’ve somehow managed to blend all my favorite things into one big, crazy adventure"?
That’s exactly where I found myself when I decided to launch my YouTube channel, OpenroadFootprint. It’s a space where my three biggest passions - travel, photography, and house-sitting - will collide in the most delightful and unpredictable ways. And guess what? You get to come along for the ride!

The Perfect Trio: Travel, Photography & House-Sitting

Let’s start with the obvious: I love to travel. There’s nothing quite like the thrill of exploring new places, waking up in an unfamiliar town, and seeing the world through fresh eyes. But my travel isn’t your average holiday-hopping; I’ve carved out a unique path by combining it with house-sitting, which lets me immerse myself in different locations like a local. One day, I might be waking up to ocean views in a beachside cottage, and the next, I’m sipping coffee on a countryside farm while befriending a trio of curious goats. Yep, that' has REALLY happened! Thank you Atherton Tablelands :

Now, add photography into the mix, and things get even more exciting. My camera is my constant companion, capturing stunning landscapes, hidden gems, and all the quirky, unexpected moments in between. From golden-hour shots that make you want to dive straight into the scene to those hilarious travel bloopers that prove the journey is never as smooth as Instagram makes it seem - my photography and videos aim to tell real, beautiful and ugly, and sometimes simply chaotic stories.

OpenroadFootprint: More Than Just a Travel Channel

Starting OpenroadFootprint isn’t just about documenting my adventures; it was about sharing the lessons, the laughs, and the little photographic or travel hacks I pick up along the way. This channel is for anyone who:

  • Loves photography and wants to see the world through a creative lens.
  • Dreams of traveling but also wants to learn how to do it affordably (hint: house-sitting is a game-changer!).
  • Enjoys a mix of adventure, spontaneity, and the occasional "oops" moment when things don’t go as planned.
  • Wants a front-row seat to some of the most stunning locations, fun travel stories, and behind-the-scenes antics of my journey.
